Photoperiod control for S1 production of Atlantic Salmon

Fish which are to become S1 need to be at least 75-80mm long by October the Autumn before they are due to smolt. The fish are then held on natural daylength until the end of January when, at any time they can be put on 24 hour light to smoltify 6-8 weeks later.
